This youth leadership camp was designed to help secondary school students step into their potential, strengthen their confidence, and lead with purpose. I played a key role in shaping the programme — from developing experiential games to facilitating reflective sessions that allowed students to better understand their leadership style and values.
• I mentored new facilitators, guided campers through team-building activities, and ensured that every participant had a voice.
• One of the most fulfilling outcomes was seeing students who arrived shy and uncertain leave with newfound clarity and courage.
• I grew in my ability to coach others, design youth-centric experiences, and foster inclusive environments.
In future runs, I hope to incorporate more peer-led discussions and a stronger follow-up process to support participants beyond the camp.
