This large-scale community event was centred on promoting the importance of blood donation, especially among youth. We partnered with Bloodbank@HSA at Woodlands to host a live donation drive while also including wellness and environmental activities to create a holistic experience.
• I helped lead the planning and execution of the event, which attracted over 3,000 participants.
• We curated supporting activities such as eco-workshops, mental wellness booths, and educational displays.
• I learned how to adapt quickly under pressure, manage stakeholder expectations, and coordinate large volunteer teams.
This experience deepened my understanding of public health engagement and taught me how to lead with both clarity and compassion in high-stakes settings. I hope to build on this by exploring more health-related outreach efforts in the future.
