YAPaints!

In my role as Head of Projects, I led the expansion of YAPaints, a community service initiative that revitalises homes of low-income families through repainting. The project had been running for years, but I wanted to take it further by adding creativity and sustainability to its impact.
• I introduced a new element of community mural painting to involve residents in the process and foster a sense of ownership.
• I also formed a corporate partnership with Lih Ming Construction to secure long-term support and resources.
• Through this journey, I learned how to balance logistics with heart, and how to scale a meaningful initiative without losing its soul.

This experience taught me the value of building long-term, cross-sector collaborations, and in the future, I aim to explore even more participatory models of community service.
